MEGS: Blissful night’s sleep in a Four Poster bed, then up to explore Cape Tribulation – very beautiful beach, reminded me of Shipwrecked. Whilst walking back, we were hit by a huge downpour of rain and got soaked! Back to play chess, scrabble etc – until bus arrived. Thought we were going to have to draw straws again as bus was too full, but no.
ALEX: Did a quick cruise on the Daintree River, saw a couple of crocs doing nothing much. Just sitting there. Then onto a fresh fruit + veg farm that sold practically everything, before reaching Port Douglas. Here we made the mistake of doing the rest of the journey by boat. An hour and a half of choppy seas 30 bucks out of pocket made us quite miserable, and we had to rush back to the hostel in they were closed. Felt a lot better after a kebab. One more night in Cairns.
My mother's associates used to have seas once - stronger little SOBs
